Jackie Chan Foundation Supports Arts Education in Hawai‘i Schools and Communities

From L to R: Eric Chang, Arts Program Manager, East-West Center; Sylvia Young; Ron Young, President, Jackie Chan Foundation USA; Dr. Larry Tseu, Past President, Jackie Chan Foundation USA.

The Jackie Chan Foundation USA recently contributed an additional $10,000 to the Jackie Chan Endowment supporting the East-West Center Arts Program. Established in 2013, the fund builds bridges of friendship through activities including artist residencies, performances, and school visits. In 2024, the fund supported EWC Artists-in-Residence, Samuela Taukave and John Taukave, two talented performing artists from Rotuma. The brothers conducted performances, workshops, and musical explorations at various local schools and community venues in the leadup and through the 13th Festival of Pacific Arts and Culture (FestPAC) in Hawaiʻi held in June 2024 (see photos below).

Dr. Larry Tseu (pictured above) served as Past President of the Jackie Chan USA Foundation. Dr. Tseu previously served on the East-West Center Foundation Board of Directors from 2002-2008 and again from 2009-2015.
